What we collect, and what we do not

Last updated

Dagen Digital LLC runs a deliberately small website. It uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and nothing else tracks you. The only personal information it handles is what you type into the callback form, and this page says exactly what happens to it.

Scope

This policy covers Dagen Digital LLC, a Florida limited liability company (document L26000416936) at 2234 North Federal Highway, Suite 3029, Boca Raton, FL 33431, and the website at dagendigital.com.

It does not cover information collected offline, or work performed for clients under a signed service agreement. That work is governed by the agreement covering it.

What we collect

One thing, in one place. When you submit the callback form we receive your name, your phone number, and your company name if you chose to add it. Company is optional. The other two are required, because without them nobody can call you back.

We also receive the page you submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you asked. There is no email field on this site and we do not ask for your website.

Separately, Google Analytics records how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city level), the device and browser, and the site or search that sent them. It does this with first-party cookies named _ga. We see that as totals and trends, not as a record of you. It is never joined to what you type into the form.

We do not ask for and do not want an address, a date of birth, a payment method or any other detail. We do not create accounts and there is nothing to log in to.

Our services are intended for people aged 18 or over acting for a business. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted the form, tell us and we will remove it.

What we do not do

Google Analytics is the only tracking on this site. There is no advertising pixel, no ad conversion tracking, no session recording and no chat widget. We do not use analytics data to advertise to you, and Google Analytics does not store your full IP address.

You can block the _ga cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same either way, including the callback form.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, we do not use it to build an advertising audience, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Why we use it

To call you back, to work out whether we are the right fit, and to keep the resulting conversation going. That is the whole list.

We also use it where the law requires us to, and to protect against fraud or misuse of the form.

Who else sees it

Three companies, all acting on our behalf and nothing more.

Web3Forms receives the form submission and relays it to our inbox. It is the delivery mechanism and holds the submission in transit.

Netlify hosts the site and, like any web host, keeps standard server and request logs.

Google runs Google Analytics for us and processes the usage data described above. Usage data is kept for no more than 14 months. The reviews on our homepage are copied from our Google Maps listing and load nothing from Google.

Beyond that we disclose personal information only to comply with a legal obligation, to enforce our rights, to protect against fraud or a security threat, or in connection with a merger or restructuring of the business. If any of that happened we would tell you unless we were legally barred from doing so.

How long we keep it

A callback request lives in an email inbox. If the conversation goes nowhere we delete it within twelve months.

If you become a client, your details move into the client record and are kept for as long as we work together and for seven years afterwards, which is the window Florida business and tax records generally need to cover.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah, you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to be told how it is shared.

Email info@dagendigital.com or call (561) 571-4488 and ask. We will confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason and it does not cost anything. We may need to verify who you are first, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Because the answer is at most three fields and a page name, this is usually a short conversation.

Do not sell or share

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as California law defines that term.

Some sites need this section because their advertising technology counts as sharing. Ours does not. Google Analytics is used only to measure this site, with its advertising features switched off, and there is no advertising technology on the site.

Business information

We work with businesses, so what comes through the form is usually business contact information rather than personal detail. We treat it accordingly.

A form submission is not automatically confidential. If you need something covered by confidentiality, say so on the call and we will put an agreement in place before you send it. Client information is handled under the confidentiality terms of that agreement.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the form posts over an encrypted connection. The form carries a spam trap, and access to the inbox is restricted.

No system can promise absolute security and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something. There is also very little here to lose: we hold no payment details, no passwords and no documents.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who have spoken with us and agreed to be texted, for example when you say on a call that we may text you the details. The messages are follow-ups to that conversation, such as the information you asked for, scheduling, and replies to your questions. We do not send bulk promotions.

We do not share mobile numbers or opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Our messaging provider, Telnyx, delivers the texts for us and handles them only for that purpose.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out and we will stop at once. Reply HELP for help, or call (561) 571-4488. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with the conversation.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes on the same day, and the date at the top moves with it. We will not quietly widen what we gather and leave the old wording up.

Questions about this page go to info@dagendigital.com or (561) 571-4488.
